Vanessa Ayala is a video installation artist and curator from the Eastern Coachella Valley, currently based in Santa Barbara, CA. Ayala specializes in world-building that traverses between the liminal thresholds of their identity as a Queer Latinx raised in a traditional Catholic household. Their work aims to challenge collective relationships to cultural symbols and rituals, while serving as a self-affirming process of her own personal experiences.
